All aboard!! Here we go!

I want to welcome everyone to Koru Life Coaching. If you know me, you know this has been a long time coming. If you don’t know me, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I have been in a non-monogamous relationship for over 19 years. My husband and I have our fair share of fights and issues along the way. I feel like when we did have issues, it was hard for me stay true to myself, speak my mind in a constructive manner, and when I did reach out for help, couldn’t find anyone who understood a non-monogamous relationship. In other words, I felt stuck. I felt helpless and I didn’t know where to turn. So I turned to the person who has always been there for me and knew what I wanted most. I turned back to myself. I started reading self-help books. I started to learn about meditation and crystals. I started to  experiment with psychedelic therapy. I took classes and talked to my friends.

During my growth, I became a relational leader for not only my relationship but for my friends too. I encouraged them and pushed them. I asked them the difficult questions to help them find their way. I listened to them until they felt heard. During a tarot card reading, I was told that people feel comfortable around me and that they feel like they can be their true selves. She saw me being a sex therapist. That’s when the lightbulb went off and I started down my coaching path.

I then went to The Relationship School and obtained my relationship coaching certification. I graduated a year ago and thought my coaching would start shortly after that. Obviously, it has taken a bit longer to actually start my practice, thanks to a lot of self limiting fears. I was initially disappointed in myself, especially every time my very supportive and encouraging friends would ask me how my coaching was going.  As I sat and wrote my very first blog, on a website I designed myself (with the help of an amazing business coach), I noted that all my disappointment had been replaced with a true sense of pride and accomplishment. I am launching this at the right time for me and I couldn’t be happier or more excited.

I am excited to share with you what I have learned about all relationships, as we have relationships with everyone we interact with. I am excited to help people become more confident and increase their self esteem. I am excited to share my tips about traveling, time management, health, and life in general. I will share my wins and the roadblocks I run into. I am excited to learn with you.

All aboard!!  Let’s start this adventure together! I promise we all will learn something along the way!
